Taking family holiday portraits in the fall is my favorite time of year. The trees are turning beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow, and the light is so soft behind the clouds. Taylor and her husband wanted images to capture their one year old son. We decided to meet at Fort Vancouver, where the colors are just wonderful in October. We met down at the Fort and walked around until I saw this porch on one of the historic buildings at Fort Vancouver. The light was a bit strong on the right, casting shadows onto their faces.
